Abu Dhabi development (Al bateen Wharf) TDIC

Abu Dhabi development (Al bateen Wharf)
Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) is working with public and private sectors to develop sustainable project in the UAE, and try to make a cool cities which will decrease emissions. As we know, cool cities are designed to decrease carbon dioxide emissions which cause global warming. Now they are planning many designs to develop Abu Dhabi and one of these projects is Al bateen Wharf.

Al bateen Wharf will be a signature waterfront destination with San Francisco- style Fishermen’s Marina and luxury five stars hotels that all designed with sensitivity to the area’s long standing fishing and boat building traditions.
The 400 room hotel will also have a serviced residential wing with 200 apartments and deluxe poolside and executive town homes. In addition it will consist of waterfront boardwalk restaurant and cafes. Boardwalk and the streets level shopping also will be there. Also it will have rooftop plaza and berths of 285 fishing boats and 38 racing dhows. Also it will include Dry-stack facilities for 200 boats.

Moreover, it will comprise banqueting facilities, a health club and spa as well as state-of-the-art business and conference centers. It will have shops at its street level, underground parking, a rooftop late dining restaurant, rooftop plaza and an eco-roof garden.
Al Bateen Wharf Hotel will incorporate the latest in sustainable design features with energy-efficient solar screening, eco-friendly landscaping, passive cooling through shading and airflow, fritted glass with integrated solar cells and a transparent 'sail like' veil which will transform the shape of the building at night.
So, I think these projects will the UAE to make cool cities which is one of the most important ways to reduce CO2 emission and make life easy and safe.
