The earth is in danger of global warming and we are creators of the problem.
Global warming is becoming a more serious threat than ever before. So, in this essay I’ll write about the causes of global warming and why it’s a serious problem.Carbon Dioxide emissions from all Power Plants in 2002 amounted to 40% in the U.S. Carbon dioxide emissions stem from the burning of fossil fuels for the purpose of electricity generation. Natural gas gives off 50% of the carbon dioxide, the principal greenhouse gas, released by coal and 25% less carbon dioxide than oil, for the same amount of energy produced. Coal contains about 80 percent more carbon per unit of energy than gas does, and oil contains about 40 percent more. The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change estimates that aviation causes 3.5 percent of global warming, and that the figure could raise to 15 percent by 2050. In addition, Deforestation, after carbon emissions caused by humans, is the second principle cause of atmospheric carbon dioxide. 
(NASA Web Site) Deforestation is responsible for 20-25% of all carbon emissions entering the atmosphere, by the burning and cutting of about 34 million acres of trees each year. Each year the equivalent of 40 or more football fields full of trees are removed and used to generate power for us to use.

The effect of global warming can be seen all over the world with the increased floods, hurricanes, forest fires and melting ice caps.
